Robotics Technician – Hand/Gripper (Vancouver)
We are on a mission to redefine humanoid robotics by creating hands that mimic human dexterity, precision, and flexibility. As a Robotics Hand Technician, you will play a key role in assembling, testing, and validating cutting-edge robotic hands and grippers for our humanoid robots. This position requires strong technical expertise in robotic assembly, sensor calibration, and the ability to collaborate closely with engineers to troubleshoot and optimize robotic hand systems. Work mode: 5 days per week on site, Vancouver, 6060 Silver Dr,
- Experience working with specialized robotic testing equipment and tools, such as precision measuring instruments and test rigs.
- Experience with rapid prototyping tools such as 3D printing, CNC machining, or laser cutting for robotic hand components.
- Familiarity with tactile sensors, force sensors, and other sensory technologies used in robotic hands.
- Knowledge or experience in designing for human-robot interaction, especially in contexts where robots need to handle delicate or interactive tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- High attention to detail in handling delicate components and ensuring precise assembly of complex systems.
- 1. Strong proficiency in assembling robotic hands and integrating complex mechanical and electronic systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement corrective actions efficiently.
- 3+ years of experience in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting robotic systems, with a focus on precision mechanics and sensor integration.
- Freedom to influence the product and own key initiatives
- Background in humanoid robot development, particularly in hand/arm systems or robotic manipulation.
- 2. Hands-on experience with fine-pitch soldering, micro-wiring, and assembly techniques.
- 3. Familiarity with calibrating actuators, sensors, and control systems in robotic applications.
