RS&H is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join the Chicago, IL team, offering a hybrid schedule of in‑office and remote work. As part of the buildings team, the engineer will provide professional engineering consultation in planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects, develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria, and collaborate with a diversified project team on client communication, proposals, marketing, presentations, and multidisciplinary activities. Additional duties include preparing specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals, ensuring finished plans and material approvals, meeting with clients to define objectives, reviewing junior staff work for technical accuracy, and conducting quality control, field reviews, and construction observations. The role may also involve reviewing and approving scopes, budgets, and schedules, serving as a team expert or project lead, leading discipline or small multidisciplinary teams, and managing a small team of direct reports.
