Part‑time Maintenance Technician handling repairs, inspections, and preventive upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Coordinate annual preventive maintenance checks by contractors; and -Regularly perform the various tasks described in the programs -Complete regular maintenance reports -Follow the home’s Preventive Maintenance Program as well as the Demand Maintenance Program -Complete repairs as necessary including not limited to: Painting, wall repair, small leak, install (toilet, sink, tiling, doors, replace light fixtures, install blinds) -Ensure safe storage of maintenance equipment -Check the operation of the mechanical equipment -Perform everything pertaining to maintenance including heavy duty related work -Inspect Life Safety equipment and systems -Regularly checking completed maintenance logs in each department/home area of the home -Complete pre-start up assessments on a new equipment as applicable

What You Bring

-Must be available for call ins on short notice -Must have mechanical aptitude and be able to read and write the English language. -Experience in electrical, plumbing, patchwork, painting preferred -Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures. -High School Diploma -College level trade certificate is an asset -Knowledgeable about WHMIS, OH & S
