The Information Manager will lead an accessible, efficient, and fully compliant information‑management consultancy service, enabling innovation and protecting client reputation by ensuring all teams meet statutory obligations, guidance, and good practice.
Key duties include developing and maintaining information‑management policies, standards and guidance; staying current with legislation and codes of practice; overseeing the information‑management team’s performance and development; allocating resources and managing workload risks; contributing to governance strategy and business planning; and managing the full life‑cycle of records from creation to archiving or disposal.
The role also promotes best practice through communications and training, reports progress to steering committees and senior risk owners, builds relationships with external stakeholders such as contractors and suppliers, and provides advice to team members while encouraging consistent information‑management approaches across client programmes.
Candidates should hold a relevant degree or professional qualification (GKIM or ISO19650 practitioner level), have at least three years of information‑management experience, possess deep knowledge of legislation (e.g., Data Protection Act, FOI Act, Public Records Act) and EDMS/CDE platforms—particularly Aconex—and demonstrate the ability to lead change, influence senior stakeholders, and manage performance and development of people.
