Financial Accountant

Description

• Ensure general ledger accounts are reconciled monthly including deferred revenue and work-in-progress and that all reconciling items are resolved.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and associated workpapers for review and submission to stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between the auditors and Atlantica to address auditor queries in a timely manner.
• Promote team development and foster an efficient and collaborative work environment.
• Lead and/or support finance related projects with a focus on workflow efficiency and process improvement, ensuring changes align with corporate strategy.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and related variance analysis with a focus on improving efficiency and performance.
• Reconcile intercompany balances between related parties including divisions, companies, and joint ventures.
• Be responsible for the inventory subledger and facilitate inventory counts and associated correcting entries.

Requirements

• You have 3+ years of experience (co-op experience included!)
• Your Excel skills are advanced; you’re comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and creating dashboards to present data in a compelling way
• 37.5 hours per week
• You’re a problem-solver with sharp analytical skills and a knack for finding solutions
• You are currently pursuing or recently obtained your CPA designation
