The Instrumentation & Controls Project Lead Engineer will head project teams, collaborating with other I&C engineers to design new upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities. Responsibilities include developing P&IDs, I/O lists, control panel designs, control narratives, network architectures, cable schedules, and detailed specifications for procurement and installation. The role also involves participating in Process Hazard Analyses, design reviews, and conducting independent reviews of calculations and drawings, while serving as a primary liaison with client representatives to address design questions.

• Lead I&C project teams for new upstream/midstream oil & gas facilities.
• Create P&IDs, I/O lists, control panel designs, C&E documents, control narratives, network architectures, cable schedules, and specifications.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses and design reviews; conduct independent reviews of calculations and drawings.
• Interface with client representatives to clarify instrumentation and controls design requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical sessions and on‑the‑job training.
• Travel to client, vendor, and site locations for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification.
• Provide guidance and oversight on work performed by others.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, with a strong academic foundation in analog and digital control systems. Required experience includes over 15 years in oil and gas or related industrial sectors, at least 10 years of hands‑on instrumentation and controls engineering, and proven expertise in design techniques, technical plan production, and MS Office applications, especially Excel. Preferred qualifications are a PE license, AutoCAD proficiency, and experience with SCADA and radio networks. The position is based in Englewood, CO, requires occasional travel, and does not sponsor U.S. work authorization.

• BS/MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (ABET accredited) with coursework in analog and digital control systems.
• 15+ years of oil & gas or industrial experience; 10+ years in instrumentation and controls engineering.
• Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, and production of technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; optional AutoCAD proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative team experience.
• PE license (preferred); experience with SCADA and radio networks (preferred).
• Based in Englewood, CO; occasional travel; no U.S. work‑authorization sponsorship.

The compensation package ranges from $131,960 to $205,330, complemented by a discretionary annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite.
