The Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice role offers a blend of classroom, laboratory and on‑the‑job learning to install, alter, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electronic, mechanical, computer, control and robotics/automation equipment in a complex fulfillment/distribution center.
Apprentices follow work processes closely while job‑shadowing technical advisors, communicate effectively in team settings, work with technical documentation and computers, and learn to operate material‑transfer conveyors, PLCs, and robotic systems under experienced supervision.
As a Mechatronics Junior Technician, you combine electronic, mechanical, computer and control skills to analyze, troubleshoot and repair high‑performance manufacturing systems, perform scheduled and preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met.
Required qualifications include being at least 18 years old, possessing a high school diploma or GED, achieving a minimum score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test, basic computer skills, and the ability to travel to one of three training sites for a 12‑week program.
Preferred qualifications are at least one year of experience in preventive/predictive maintenance, familiarity with mechanical or electrical components, and experience with compressors and pneumatics.
Physical demands involve repetitive bending, crouching, lifting parts averaging 20 lb (up to 49 lb), dexterity in hand‑foot coordination, and working in environments that may include small spaces, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, noise, vibration, and uneven surfaces.

The position is located on‑site in Monee, IL, offers an estimated hourly rate of $24.00–$24.32, and is tagged under RME.
