Description

• Technical Review of designs and documents: Thoroughly guides the team and reviews all documents/design/analysis files to ensure technical accuracy.
• Maintaining Project Status ( 3D model Status, Procurement Engineering status, Stress Analysis Status)
• Adhering to the Project Schedule
• Contracting & Procurement : Identifying project specific engineering and design elements which require subcontracting.
• Proposals : Reviews scope of work and seeks clarification for ambiguous / incomplete / incorrect information. Assists department head in preparing man-hour estimates.
• Maintain Project Hold List
• Acts as Lead Engineer for Piping for a large project with full responsibility.
• Coordinates with other departments and resolves engineering issues.
• Business Development : Visits clients attends seminars/workshops and makes technical presentations.
• Project Execution : Executes the engineering and design works within budget and schedule.
• Provides engineering inputs during all design phases including interpretation of standards. Actively communicates with other departments to optimize areas of interface during design development, review and check processes.
• Maintain Scope Change Register
• Completing the Project within Budgeted manhours
• Planning & Scheduling : Provides input to project execution, planning and scheduling.
• Ensure Document Quality.

Requirements

• Leadership skills.
• Having overall Knowledge of International / national codes and standards. (ASME, NACE, API, BS, AWWA, ISO) for cross country Pipeline
• Knowledge on the activities performed in other engineering discipline that have Piping importance.
• Good Communication skills
• Knowledge on the other part of Piping Engineering
• Awareness on Digitization Techniques
• Discusses with support engineers and designers regularly on scope, man-hours, resources and schedules. Participates in weekly Technical and progress reviews of projects. Familiar with organization procedures and international standards and codes.
• Awareness of Piping Stress Analysis.
• Emotional Intelligence
• Quality / HSE :Performs discipline / inter-discipline check of documents .Ensures that the required integrity and quality of the work is maintained. Familiar with Quality / HSE management system and their procedures. Ensures timely corrective actions for identified nonconformities.
• Time management skills
• Awareness of other Discipline Deliverables and the importance to Piping at various stage of project.
• Awareness of 3D tool developments and updates in present market condition.
• Relevant experience in Oil & Gas, refineries and Petrochemical industry.
• Experience in Evaluation of vendor Offers & Co-ordination with SCM / Vendor. Review / Approval of engineering & Quality documents post order.
• Ability to manage Stress
• Awareness of Piping Material.
