The position is for an Intermediate Road Design Engineer who will design roads and highway geometry. This role is part of the Critical Infrastructure team, which has more than 80 years of experience delivering projects that improve community mobility, economic growth, and sustainability.
The engineer will develop engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, including defining problems, establishing scope, preparing budgets and schedules, and providing technical direction. They will also perform detailed calculations, create 3D models and drawings, produce procurement documents, and generate design and installation packages while coordinating with disciplines such as drainage, linear infrastructure, and structural engineering.
Candidates must be proficient with MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and have municipal or MTO experience. A registered P.Eng. is preferred, along with at least five years of road and highway design experience and a strong background in roadway geometric design. Familiarity with policies, procedures, and design‑build projects is advantageous, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
