  • Develop retail-centric pricing strategies to address local market customer needs and meet the demands of the local competitive environment.
  • Implement and promote a test-and-learn approach to pricing strategies, experimenting with different methodologies to identify the most effective solutions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development.
  • Supervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Develop the execution strategies and oversee the implementation of pricing systems, tools, and processes necessary to expand profitability and grow sales.
  • Utilize predictive modeling, experimentation, statistical analysis, and data visualization techniques to understand price elasticities and optimize pricing decisions.
  • Partner with VP of Pricing on long-term vision for retail pricing including strategic plans, tactical execution, metrics, and reporting structure.
  • Craft individual development plans for team members, and provide necessary coaching to ensure individual, team, and company success.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner to create business requirements necessary to expand pricing capabilities in in-house Pricing Engine.
  • Partner with Sales Analytics to improve reporting capabilities, improve Operator-based metrics, and measure results of executed strategies.
  • Assess Market needs across the organization and determine system and training requirements to implement best practices.
  • Present findings, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Work with Suppliers and Manufactures to expand vendor pricing recommendations while driving efficiencies in data exchanges.
  • Develop strategies to leverage technology capabilities to update retail shelf labels, including possibilities to utilize electronic retail shelf labels.

  • Proven ability to leverage data in decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in analytical field - preference given to disciplines focused on Sales, Pricing, Margin, or Cost Analysis.
  • Demonstrated success crafting and implementing strategies and initiatives.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills - specifically Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
  • 7-10 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience leading and developing teams.
  • Experience with large data modeling software such as Power BI, Python, SQL
  • Direct pricing experience with customer-facing products in a retail environment.
