The Infrastructure & Network Engineer will design, modernize, and protect the systems that keep our global manufacturing organization running. This role goes beyond keeping the lights on, leading enterprise‑wide infrastructure upgrades, solving complex networking challenges, and directly enabling business continuity, plant performance, and operational efficiency across corporate offices, plants, high‑availability data centers, and global networks.
Enterprise Infrastructure & Project Delivery (≈50%): Lead and support network and infrastructure projects across corporate and plant environments, partnering with business leaders and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions. Assess current‑state environments, design upgrades that improve performance, security, and resiliency, and provide cost‑benefit analysis and technical recommendations. Ensure projects meet architectural standards, budget expectations, and delivery timelines.
Operations, Support & Optimization (≈50%): Own troubleshooting and resolution of complex network, voice, wireless, and IP‑based infrastructure issues. Administer and maintain LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless, data centers, phone systems, and IP device networks while performing proactive assessments, documentation, and continuous improvement activities. Adapt solutions to plant‑floor and industrial constraints and contribute to enterprise standards, best practices, and long‑term infrastructure roadmaps.
This role is not a helpdesk or single‑site position; it offers the opportunity to engineer solutions at scale across global networks and complex manufacturing environments. You will work on mission‑critical systems where uptime, security, and performance directly impact the business, gaining ownership from problem definition through implementation and optimization. The position positions you as a strategic technical partner, fostering technical depth, accountability, and continuous improvement for long‑term career growth.
Success in this position is measured by delivering stable, secure, and scalable infrastructure that drives measurable business outcomes. You will deliver enterprise infrastructure projects on time and within budget, increase reliability and uptime across global LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, and data‑center environments, and reduce incident frequency and resolution time through proactive monitoring, root‑cause analysis, and documentation. Additionally, you will enable secure manufacturing operations, modernize legacy infrastructure, and be trusted as a technical authority by both IT and business stakeholders.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience and at least five years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network and IP‑based solutions. Preferred certifications are Cisco CCNA, Aruba, or Fortinet, with a willingness to expand across all domains. Technical strengths encompass LAN design, structured cabling, switch/router/firewall configuration, network troubleshooting, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), QoS, security design, voice/VOIP, SD‑WAN, VPNs, disaster recovery, and industrial networks such as SCADA and IP camera platforms.
