The Resident Services Coordinator role supports residents of subsidized multifamily properties by monitoring living conditions, coordinating programs, and delivering case‑management services that enhance quality of life and prevent crises such as evictions or utility loss.
- Survey resident interests and host quarterly meetings to shape programming.
- Develop outcomes‑based work plans and coordinate impact programs (after‑school tutoring, workforce development, health/nutrition, financial literacy, broadband access, seniors services).
- Create and execute communications plans using flyers, social media, automated calls, home visits, and event calendars.
- Provide case management to prevent evictions, utility shut‑offs, and ensure food security and health.
- Facilitate voter registration drives and support crisis intervention.
- Track and report program effectiveness, collaborating with supervisors on outcome measurement.
- Liaise between community managers and residents for annual recertifications and paperwork assistance.
- Participate in workgroups addressing civic activities and emerging neighborhood issues.
- Support fundraising for grants, special events, and campaigns.
- Educate residents on service availability, application processes, and job training; advocate on their behalf.
- Organize family development and parenting events for all populations.
- Act as conduit for at‑risk households to prevent lease violations and evictions.
- Coordinate with construction periods to ensure Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit compliance and assist affected residents.
- Partner with non‑profit and community organizations to deliver on‑site and off‑site programming.
- Serve as primary contact for residents, non‑profits, and city/state agencies for program implementation and participation.
- Represent residents at community, tenant association, and public meetings.
- Maintain day‑to‑day social services activities in compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Keep an up‑to‑date resource directory of service providers.
- Document program activities, case notes, and reports consistently.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, are proficient with Microsoft Office and data‑tracking systems, and demonstrate a commitment to community service. Bilingual ability, LMSW certification, or AmeriCorps/VISTA experience are valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, social work, or related field (preferred).
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) preferred but not required.
- AmeriCorps or VISTA experience welcomed.
- Demonstrated volunteer and community involvement.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Positive, outgoing attitude with strong customer‑service skills.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, tact, and diplomacy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data‑tracking systems (Family Metrics, Yardi).
- Ability to present information and respond to stakeholder questions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt in a dynamic environment.
