Workshop Supervisor - Biggleswade

Description

• Working closely with the Workshop Manager to identify and provide recommendations for closing skill gaps for Workshop Engineers and Apprentices.
• Providing effective leadership, training and development of direct reports
• Identifying opportunities and contribute to winning ideas that further develop systems and processes and improve working practices
• Effectively handling the administration required as part of the role
• Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
• Ensuring that self-image is a key contributor to promoting company business
• Providing hands on technical assistance to Workshop Engineers as and when required
• Providing assistance to the Workshop Manager with regards to work planning
• Preparing estimates as required
• Promoting a positive and professional image to customers both internal and external, especially in face-to-face discussion at the workshop site
• Supporting the administration of the quality control system within the Workshop
• Driving increased customer satisfaction by ensuring workmanship delivers a quality as would be expected from a leading manufacturer
• Working with the customer in mind and contributes towards ideas and initiatives that drive the improvement of both internal and external relationships
• Taking initiative to liaise with other internal departments as appropriate to identify possible opportunities with existing customers

Requirements

• Completion of relevant apprenticeship in similar environment
• Ability to demonstrate application of technical skills in similar industry
• Good communicator at all levels
