The Interconnection Planning Projects Department handles generator and merchant transmission interconnection processes and assesses long-term transmission adequacy and reliability. The Analyst – Interconnection Planning supports these activities in a hybrid work arrangement.
The analyst cultivates relationships with interconnection stakeholders, performs administrative tasks using the MS Office suite, and assists engineers with analytical studies, project tracking, financial documentation, and the development of agreements and data requests. They also maintain departmental files, update the planning website, support database-driven interconnection processes, and serve as the first point of contact for new customers.
Required qualifications include a BS in Business Administration or a related field, five or more years of comparable experience, strong attention to detail, effective team communication, quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred qualifications are experience with SAP, advanced Excel reporting, knowledge of PJM operations and markets, a background in the energy industry, and participation in PJM committees.
