The Tube Mill Operator is responsible to operate equipment in a Tube Production Cell, such as Tube Mills, Tube Swagers, Tube Corrugators, Spot Welder and measuring instruments to complete corrugated steel connectors for water and gas. This position will also conduct tests and measurements, log test and measurement results in computer, weight materials, fill reports and perform basic autonomous maintenance activities.

Set and adjust machine parameters.
Spot Welds steel strips every new coil.
Fills history cards, Production, and quality reports and hour by hour board.
Keeps the work area clean and organized following 5S discipline
Performs Cleaning, Inspection and Lubrication tasks in the machines under his/her assignment
Monitors and logs raw material and Tube’s dimensions, quality of weld and shape according to specifications and quality control plan.
Places corrugated tubes in tubs ensuring that they are identified correctly.
Feeds and retrieves tubes in swager and corrugator.
Operates production machines, machine tools and equipment used to roll, weld, cut, swage and corrugate steel tubes per specifications.
Communicates with other operators, team leads, supervisors, maintenance technicians and engineers, quality inspectors and engineers.
Changes electrodes.
Moves tubes from Tube Mill to Swager and to Corrugator.
Places coils of steel strips in the Tube Mill machine and guides it through the Tube Mill Machine.
Apply clearly prescribed standard practice, using several procedures with some decisions.
