The role involves day‑shift operation, inspection, adjustment, and monitoring of remediation system equipment to ensure proper performance. Reporting to the Project Manager, the operator will supervise field technicians, provide training, coaching and feedback, and act as the primary point of contact with clients, regulators, management and colleagues.
The operator will conduct process control and field testing of water, manage pH levels, chemicals, mixers, pumps and metering devices, and ensure compliance with company SOPs and safety procedures. Additionally, the role requires maintaining a clean job site and performing other assigned duties.
- Operate, inspect, adjust, and monitor remediation systems and process equipment on a day shift.
- Supervise and lead field technicians, providing training, coaching, and feedback.
- Communicate daily with clients, regulatory personnel, management, colleagues, and field techs as the primary point of contact.
- Perform process control and field testing of water, adjusting pH levels and chemical dosing using mixers, pumps, and metering devices.
- Ensure wastewater treatment system compliance with SOPs and safety procedures.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and debris‑free job site.

- High school diploma/GED and NJ Industrial Wastewater Operator’s License N3 (required).
- 10+ years of wastewater operator experience; mechanically inclined.
- 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (preferred) and TWIC (preferred).
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods, work in severe weather, lift up to 50 lb, and use PPE as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime and start in early spring 2026.
- Team player with strong work ethic, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to pass criminal, drug, and alcohol background checks.
- College degree or vocational training is a plus.
