In this position you will be primarily responsible for real‑time testing and verification of SVC and STATCOM solutions in close coordination with global engineering teams. As a key team member you will design FACTS solutions for global projects and tenders, define test requirements, create test plans, and perform network and plant modeling in RSCAD with verification on the RTDS platform.
Technical leadership includes executing Factory and Site Acceptance Tests to validate control and protection performance, driving research and development of FACTS control systems, and providing guidance to multidisciplinary teams. Strong communication skills in English and willingness to travel internationally are required.
We are seeking a highly skilled FACTS electrical engineer with strong background in control software and simulation. The role involves designing control systems that meet demanding customer specifications, conducting real‑time laboratory testing, and supporting commissioning of compensators at site. Participation in R&D activities related to FACTS control design is also expected.
Required qualifications include an M.Tech/M.E (or higher) in Electrical, Power Electronics, Power Systems or Control, with 3–15 years of relevant experience. Candidates must have deep knowledge of RSCAD/RTDS, converter modeling for FACTS/HVDC, and strong oral and written English proficiency. Flexibility in working hours and readiness to travel globally are essential.
Additional desirable skills are familiarity with EMTDC/PSCAD, PSS/E, MATLAB/Simulink, waveform and fault analysis, and experience with IEC/IEEE standards on international projects.
