SP Data Centres is seeking a proactive and reliable Safety Coordinator to support a hyperscale data centre construction project in Singapore. This is a contract role where you will be seconded full-time to the client’s project site, acting as a trusted representative of SPDC to support day-to-day health and safety activities across the construction lifecycle.
As a key site presence for SPDC, you will support the client’s HSE team and interface directly with the main contractor, subcontractors, and vendors. Your role will involve supporting inspections, coordinating safety documentation, participating in meetings, and helping drive on-site awareness of health and safety expectations.
You will be embedded within a high-performing, fast-paced project environment, working closely with the client’s construction team and various contractor stakeholders to monitor safety performance, ensure compliance, and contribute to a positive site safety culture.
- Monitor and report on high-risk work activities and the implementation of critical controls
- Participate in incident investigations and support the implementation of corrective actions
- Monitor contractor compliance with project-specific safety procedures and documentation
- Represent SPDC’s safety values and maintain a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Support the preparation of safety reports and dashboard updates for internal stakeholders
- Liaise with contractor safety teams to ensure alignment with client expectations
- Support toolbox talks, site briefings, and HSE campaigns
- Assist in the coordination and close-out of safety audits and inspections
- Conduct daily site safety walks and log observations in accordance with client systems
- Escalate any safety concerns or observations in line with project protocols

This role is suited to someone with a strong commercial construction safety background, ideally with data centre or high-tech infrastructure experience.
Term: 6-12 Months Initially
- Valid WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (or equivalent recognised in Singapore)
- Minimum 3–5 years of safety experience within commercial construction environments (data centre or similar critical infrastructure preferred)
- Sound understanding of Singapore WSH Act, local codes of practice, and MOM regulations
- Current registration or eligibility as a WSH Coordinator with MOM (required)
- Ability to operate independently while maintaining a team-focused attitude
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple stakeholder levels
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and site reporting platforms
- Familiarity with high-risk work activities: working at height, lifting, hot works, electrical safety, etc.
- Physically able to perform routine inspections and navigate active construction areas
