  • Independently develop, distribute and manage life cycle of JHAs, SWPs and CWPs
  • Develop and Maintain the company’s current Environmental, Health and Safety policies and implement new risk control measures as needed
  • Identify, control, and eliminate hazardous site conditions that may lead to worker injury or property damage
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis of incidents and prepare & implement prevention plans
  • Audit/Manage Corporate Safety Policy
  • Oversee Fleet (Vehicle) Safety and Roadworker Safety
  • Oversee and/or perform regular project walk throughs and provide Observations and corrective action reporting thru company’s online project management application
  • Ensure subcontractor EHS policies, JHA's and pre-installation safety requirements are met for trades prior to their on-site activity
  • Direct jobsite EHS activities as required by our Company, OSHA and Industry standards
  • Collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers and Superintendents on each project and provide technical support for all EHS requirements
  • Provide monthly reporting to company Executive Team
  • Ensure that federal, state and local safety laws, regulations, codes and rules are observed, and that OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements are met

  • Deep understanding of occupational health and safety guidelines/regulations
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
  • Must have the ability to make quick yet sound decisions.
  • Associate/Certified Safety Professional (ASP/CSP) Preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Roadworker Protection/MUTCD standards a plus
  • Ability to do public speaking, for safety training purposes.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Ability to draft, proofread and distribute accurate reports and develop policies applicable to legal/industry standards
  • Experience writing Health And Safety Plans (HASP’s) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s).
  • OSHA 500 certification preferred
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities – especially public speaking
  • In General, a working knowledge of project document control software is expected.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in electronic document filing and management
  • Degree or Certification in safety management or relevant field is preferred
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills are a must
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, in good standing.
  • Must build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers, and customers.
  • Minimum 5 yrs of experience in a professional safety role; proven successful experience as a safety manager preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, federal, state, and city environmental and safety regulations and practices.
