As a BIM Designer at Fisk Electric, reporting to the Director of VDC/BIM Services, you will support the development and coordination of BIM models for a wide range of construction projects. The role focuses on accurate model creation, adherence to project standards, and collaboration with project teams to ensure constructability and timely delivery of design outputs.
You will develop and maintain Revit models and associated documentation, set up and manage Revit central models, sheets, views, legends, and schedules, and import and manage Revit families, filters, and linked coordination files. You will also prepare and issue project drawings, revisions, and final record drawings.
You will collaborate with project teams to align BIM models with construction requirements, support clash detection and resolution using Navisworks, and coordinate layouts for equipment, conduits, cable trays, and electrical elements per NEC standards. You will provide prefabrication‑ready models and export layout files for field use.
You will apply company BIM standards, templates, and file management protocols. You will audit and maintain project folders, ensuring version control, data accuracy, and that models meet project specifications and industry standards for constructability.
You will support field and VDC teams with accurate layout files and coordinated models, using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) for collaboration and model synchronization. You will assist in resolving model issues and updating clash reports.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year of Revit/BIM experience (or 5 years in electrical construction), working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite, and ability to use Bluebeam for document review. Strong communication, teamwork, attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and willingness to work onsite with 5–10 % travel are also required; experience in healthcare, commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical projects and familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud are preferred.
