Lead Integration Engineer

Lead Integration Engineer responsible for delivering BAU operations and minor projects in Azure Integration Services while providing technical leadership and guidance to the team.
Maintain documentation for integrations, operational runbooks, and knowledge bases
Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and solution architects to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to team members, including code reviews and knowledge sharing
Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing integrations using Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, API Management (APIM), Service Bus, Event Grid, and Data Factory
Stay current with Microsoft Azure advancements and emerging integration technologies, bringing forward innovative ideas to enhance the platform
Drive operational excellence by monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimising integration solutions
Participate in release planning, change management, and production support activities, ensuring minimal downtime and service disruption
Ensure adherence to integration patterns, best practices, and security standards, including alignment with ISO 27001 controls
Lead the technical delivery of BAU integration activities and minor projects across the Azure Integration Services platform

Previous experience leading small teams or acting as a technical mentor
Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (build, release, and automated testing for integration artefacts)
Experience working in Agile environments and delivering in iterative cycles
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Familiarity with Bicep or ARM templates for infrastructure as code
Azure Functions (C#, PowerShell, or JavaScript/TypeScript)
Azure Logic Apps (Standard and Consumption models)
Strong understanding of cloud governance, monitoring, and cost optimisation within Azure
Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns (EIP) and microservices architecture
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively across teams
Azure API Management (APIM) (policies, security, throttling, versioning)
Proficiency in secure coding practices and implementation of authentication/authorisation models (OAuth2, Managed Identities, Azure AD)
Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience developing and delivering integrations using Azure Integration Services (AIS)
Azure Event Grid and Event Hub
Exposure to hybrid integration scenarios (on-premises to cloud)
Azure Service Bus (topics, queues, messaging patterns)
Azure Data Factory for ETL/integration scenarios
Proven experience in incident management, problem resolution, and performance tuning of integration solutions
