Utilize the JWS system to ensure trucks are assigned to the proper customer, order location, product, and tare weight prior to loading, and to verify correctness after the order is filled.
Utilize and review the dispatch menu to ensure that the correct number of trucks that were ordered by the materials dispatcher, have in fact showed up at the plant to load; add any new orders as they are received.
Ensure all trucks entering facility tare weigh across scales prior to receiving a load of aggregate and/or asphalt concrete to make sure the site is in compliance with the State of California Weights and Measures guidelines.
Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
Perform routine upkeep and housekeeping duties to ensure the facility maintains a clean and professional appearance.
Review and make changes to the daily materials dispatch to ensure the correct materials are being delivered to the correct locations and customers.
Assist the materials dispatcher with material orders when needed to ensure customer needs are met.
Verify that loaded trucks are loaded correctly (i.e. not exceeding weight limits) to ensure compliance with the State Weights and measures regulations.
Maintain ongoing communication with plant foremen and loaders to ensure timely loading of customer’s trucks.
Prepare and deliver various reports to ensure company policies are met.

Strong understanding of federal, state and local laws, policies and procedures.
Knowledge of materials business.
Strong public speaking and ability to communicate with management
Knowledge and experience with Hot Mix Asphalt Plants preferred.
Ability to establish relationships with agencies and represent Granite in a public forum.
High School Diploma or GED
General understanding of Plant operations and mechanical requirements.
Commercial or retail sales experience preferred
Ability to abide by Granite’s Code of Conduct on a daily basis.
