The primary responsibility of the Strategy Consultant is to support the development and execution of mid‑to‑long‑term distribution strategies across the Asia Pacific region, working closely with business partners throughout the organization.
In this role you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to capture industry trends, gather the voice of the customer and the business, and propose growth ideas. You will define business problems, lead S&P engagement components, and plan and direct critical projects that affect both the department and the enterprise.
Market analysis is a key focus, requiring you to assess competitive dynamics, service needs, and Caterpillar’s position, while representing the company in trade associations, technical bodies, and academic institutions. These insights will inform strategic recommendations and support the company’s leadership in the sector.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong customer focus, advanced data‑gathering and analysis skills, and sound decision‑making and critical‑thinking abilities. Effective communication, negotiation, relationship management, strategic thinking, and value‑selling expertise are also essential.
