Follow Siemens Energy established procedures to operate the balance facilities; performing required tests, reading results, and recording data according to specifications.
Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufacturing specifications, etc.
Use material handling devices (jib cranes, overhead beam cranes, and forklifts), to load/unload parts and/or assists crane operator.
Calculate balance weight moves using computers and/or manual drawing vectors.
Setup rotors for balance testing by installing tooling, bearings, bearing pedestals, adapter plates, oil seals, and vibration probes and then connecting to controls system, fuel system, lube systems, etc. per job documentation, process or engineering specifications.

Ability to pass Siemens Energy balancer / math competency exam
Ability to obtain fork truck and crane license through Siemens Energy internal certification programs
Successful applicants must be able to pass hearing, vision, and pulmonary tests through Siemens Energy’s onsite medical team
Ability to read and interpret complicated drawings, specifications, charts, and tables and to use precision measuring instruments
Successful applicants must be able to obtain Silver Level or higher ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate
An associate’s degree, or a high school degree with 3+ years of experience in manufacturing/industrial/assembly operations with strong mathematical knowledge
