The network specialist assists the company in planning, implementing, and supporting computer networks. This role provides support and issue resolution to end-users and the networks they utilize.

  • Collaborates with the members of the IT Department and infrastructure team to identify and resolve network-related issues.
  • Plans, maintains, and installs structured data cabling for the company.
  • Identifies and demonstrates network security best practices.
  • Manages vendor relations and serves as the company’s main point of contact for vendors.
  • Designs, installs, manages, and maintains network connectivity sources such as Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, and Network Access Control (NAC) in addition to finding solutions to issues and potential threats.

  • Certified in Cisco CCNA or CCNP.
  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
  • Ability to multitask, work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment, and learn and adapt quickly while maintaining strong attention to detail and customer service.
  • Experience with Cisco routing and switching, Wi-Fi systems, and VeloCloud SD-WAN is desired.
  • Well-organized with an aptitude for pre-planning and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of detailed documentation processes and diagrams.
  • Minimum of five years of experience working in network engineering, system administration, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex and technical information in an easily understandable fashion.
