- Performing and reviewing load rating analyses and preparation of load rating reports.
- Providing technical guidance on unusual or complex problems.
- Performing bridge and tunnel inspections and preparation of inspection reports.
- Informing Project Managers of workload and any changes in project schedule or scope or additional services.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Reviewing shop drawing submittals. Organize submittals and address questions from contractors during the construction phase of projects.
- Assisting or participating in the preparation of business proposals.
- Participating in bridge design assignments involving contract plans preparation and specifications, design calculations, calculation of quantities and development of cost estimates.

- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- Strong knowledge and ability to read and interpret plans and shop drawings and evaluating contractor compliance with construction plans and specifications.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
- Showing understanding of team management, developing project scope of work, estimating manpower needs, prepare CPM schedules and tracking project progress.
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering with an emphasis in structures from an ABET-accredited university or college.
- Team oriented and strong communicator with ability to work concurrently within multiple projects demands and transitioning priorities.
- Experience in new bridge design, bridge rehabilitation, administration of construction services, load ratings and inspection of bridges.
- Experience with structural design software such as AASHTOWare BrR, Midas 3D Civil, STAAD Pro, MDX, CSiBridge, LUSAS and/or other structural analysis software and applications such as MathCAD.
- Valid Driver's License.
- No relocation assistance - local candidates preferred.
