The Power Plant Assistant provides daily support to operations by maintaining plant cleanliness and assisting the mechanical maintenance crew. This full‑time hourly role is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, requires UWUA Local 369 Union membership, reports to the Maintenance Manager, and offers an hourly rate of $42.62.

Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies.
Sweep, wash, wax, polish, dust, and wipe walls, floors, desks, cabinets, and lavatories.
Keep sidewalks, drives, and adjacent areas free of ice, snow, water, and refuse.
Dispose of waste properly and separate recyclables for pickup.
Water, cut, and trim grass and shrubbery.
Ensure work area remains safe and clean at the end of each shift.
Report unusual conditions promptly.
Use Maximo to complete preventive maintenance tasks and work orders.
Perform basic maintenance functions under supervision, alone or with assistance.
Participate in training programs supporting maintenance functions.
Lift up to 50 lb, maneuver up to 100 lb; work on stairs, platforms, scaffolding, ladders.
