Attendance at weekly ecology meetings to understand projects and develop opportunities to support the team.
Deskbased data gathering to support baseline ecological reporting. This will include a search for data on public and paid for sources at set distances from the project location.
Deskbased report writing – The role will include interpretation and analysis of ecological/biological data to determine constraints reporting for projects –the role will involve an understanding of the CIEEM guidance for writing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs) Guidelines for Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (GPEA) | CIEEM
Deskbased impact assessment – As above however this would support Ecological Impact Assessment (Guidelines for Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) | CIEEM) as well as other impact assessment reports include Habitat Regulation Assessments (HRA) and Water Framework Assessment (WFD) development.

International experience will be preferred.
Knowledge of Model Builder in ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro would be required.
Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to work independently.
Should be able to manage workloads while working on multiple projects.
Candidate should have master’s in environmental science/ Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering or in Ecological discipline (Zoology/Botany).
Good oral and written communication skills. Should be able to write project reports/User Guides/Help Files.
Role requires an understanding of UK based wildlife legislation however it is expected that this will be developed through learning with the UK ecology team.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems would be plus.
GIS mapping and presentation –the role requires competence at GIS to map and present data in support of associated reports.
Good presentation skills and requirements gathering skills are an advantage.
Knowledge of Remote Sensing/Satellite Image Processing using eCognition, /ArcPro Image Analyst would be plus.
Should have minimum 6 to 10 years’ relevant experience.
