Electrical Estimation - Estimator MEP

The primary objective is to accurately forecast the costs of electrical projects including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services to ensure competitive bidding, profitability, and compliance with project specifications and regulations.

• Preliminary Designing of Fire Alarm System as per Civil Defense.
• Calculates quantity
• Preliminary Designing of ELV & Security System as per SIRA & ADMCC regulation.
• Authorizes credible comparison sheets of one tender.
• Identifies the critical items in the projects which require support/advice from Operations division and highlight to Chief Estimator in advance.
• Maintains a transparent and methodical approach to RFI and RFQ management of one/two full tender.
• Operates Estimation software and updates tendering log.
• Preliminary Designing of Electrical Systems (MV & LV) based on local authority requirements such as ADDC/TAQA, DEWA, SEWA, FEWA, Qatar Kahramaa & K.S.A SEC / SBC.
• Assists in developing techniques/strategies to expedite the overall process of tendering starting from quantity surveying to completing the Estimation Sheets.
• Prepares complete scope breakdown:
• Generates accurately and effectively BOQ and respective rate distribution for multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Identifies the Contradictions, Drawings Vs. Specifications Vs. BOQ.
• Responsible for the proper handling of tender documents administration (stamping, filing, etc.).
• Translates studies done for value analysis into value engineering of one tender.
• Provides accurate unit rate

• Understands components of a whole tender document.
• Demonstrates knowledge in filling a BOQ.
• Bachelors of Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Additional knowledge about over all MEP Systems such as HVAC Systems, Firefighting, Pumping & Drainage and special mechanical systems.
• Suggests reasonable supplier/subcontractor discount levels for manager's approval.
• Proficient in computer use and fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Provides basic rate build-up.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience.
• Understands sequence of constructing project.
• Experience in Electrical Power & ELV System Designs for pricing the Design & Built of Industrial Building Tenders.
• Good knowledge & experience in estimating techniques, CCS Candy Estimation Software, PlanSwift / CostX QS Softwares.
