Project Manager

Description

As a Project Manager based in Derby, you will lead pipework inspections across the UK portfolio for Rolls‑Royce, collaborating with diverse local and site‑wide teams to deliver innovative outcomes and manage client expectations.

Your day‑to‑day duties include creating comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, coordinating on‑site contractors, maintaining client relationships, and mitigating risks in line with UK regulations. You will monitor progress, make data‑driven decisions, run status meetings, and champion sustainable, technology‑focused solutions while also overseeing projects such as BMS upgrades, building surveys, crane safety alerts, and interceptor upgrades.

• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate and manage on‑site contractors for pipework inspections.
• Maintain clear client communication and align expectations with UK market standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks adhering to UK regulations.
• Monitor progress, make data‑driven decisions, and report to stakeholders.
• Lead regular status meetings and prepare stakeholder reports.
• Champion sustainable and technology‑driven solutions supporting UK sustainability goals.
• Oversee additional UK projects such as BMS upgrades, building surveys, crane safety alerts, and interceptor upgrades.

Requirements

The role requires proven project‑management experience in UK real estate, construction, M&E, or manufacturing, strong knowledge of UK building regulations, and solid leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Proficiency with project‑management software, MS Office, and a PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent) certification is essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred experience includes sustainable building practices with BREEAM, BIM and Agile methodologies, multi‑site project delivery across UK regions, and additional certifications such as APM, RICS, CDM 2015, SMSTS, or NEBOSH.
