Technician Journey Level, Power Generation (Sign-on Bonus) (Relocation Assistance)

Description

• Travel locally to customer sites and support emergency service needs when required
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using test equipment, meters, and OEM software
• Complete accurate service documentation, parts usage, and recommendations
• Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical systems from 110V to 600V, including transfer switches and switchgear
• Conduct load bank testing and performance verification procedures
• Ensure compliance with all MSHS safety, environmental, and procedural standards
• Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on diesel and gaseous generator systems

Requirements

• Experience in critical power applications, or military environments
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and working indoors or outdoors in varied conditions
• Certificate or degree in Diesel Technology, Power Generation, or Electrical Systems, or equivalent experience
• Valid driver's license and insurable under company policy
• Training or graduation from a vocational or technical institute for power generation, automotive, electrical or diesel technology
• EGSA, ASE, NCCER, or similar industry certifications
• Minimum three years’ experience with multiple makes of Standby Emergency Generators and control systems
• Ability to work independently in a field environment with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or evenings based on business needs
• Strong problem solving, diagnostic, and customer communication skills
• 3 or more years of experience in power generation, diesel engines, propulsion systems, or field electrical troubleshooting
• Proficiency with AC and DC electrical systems, generator repair, and electrical diagnostics
