Mechanical Fitter - Water & Wastewater Treatment

Description

• Participate in a regular standby and call-out rota.
• Undertake heavy manual work as required.
• Work independently at times, adhering strictly to safety procedures and formal protocols.
• Conduct specialised mechanical preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Carry out general duties both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions.
• Reside locally to ensure timely access to assigned sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks on treatment plant equipment.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical plant and machinery.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
• Possess a full, clean driving licence.
• CPD accredited employer
• Analytical thinker with effective problem-solving abilities.
• Skilled in both preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Computer literate, with the ability to use spreadsheets and basic software applications.
• Strong mechanical and electrical background; process experience is an advantage.
• Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of water or wastewater treatment plants (similar process experience will be considered).
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical documentation in English.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within the water and wastewater industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
