As the operator of Britain’s national gas transmission network, we repair and maintain gas pipelines, safely and reliably delivering gas to power stations, industries and 23 million homes.

With the contacts you’ll make and the skills you’ll learn in these areas, you’ll be able to make an informed decision as to which area of the business you’d like to continue your career in. Upon completion of the programme, graduates will typically progress into roles such as Data Scientist, Analyst, or Commercial Analyst.
The sites you’ll be visiting span across the UK, so you’ll need to be comfortable with travel and overnight stays regularly. This also means that ideally, you’ll hold a full driving licence and be comfortable driving between sites.
This is an 18-month fixed-term graduate programme. You must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme. We are unable to sponsor UK work permits for this graduate scheme, as the role does not meet the requirements set by the UK Home Office.

If your online application is successful, you’ll be invited to complete a virtual solo-interview. The final stage is then an in-person Assessment Centre at our Warwick office in January 2026.
As the data science team for the company, you’ll have opportunity to develop hands-on experience across a variety of business areas. Benefit from coaching and mentoring by experienced senior data scientists and take advantage of free corporate online learning resources to expand your technical and professional skills. You’ll learn the full lifecycle of developing machine learning and data science solutions - from ideation and model development to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement - using our productionised data and AI platform and best-in-class MLOps practices.
During this 18-month programme, after your initial induction, you’ll complete three 6-month placements. This will cover various teams within the Commercial business function, so that you can be exposed to different, yet relevant experiences and skillsets that will set you up for your career.
As part of our Hybrid working approach, your time will be split between office days (primarily at the Warwick Office) and working from home.
