The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing HVAC and related equipment, as well as coordinating specific agreements or projects to meet contractual commitments efficiently. The technician provides expert technical support, trains and mentors service staff, stays current on equipment knowledge, and follows systematic troubleshooting processes to resolve customer issues efficiently while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. They manage job prioritization, documentation, communication, and support sales and special projects as needed.
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install HVAC equipment.
- Coordinate agreements or projects to meet contractual commitments on time and within budget.
- Provide expert technical assistance to service representatives.
- Train and mentor technicians and trainees, teaching problem‑solving skills.
- Keep technical knowledge current through manuals, online resources, and technical organizations.
- Follow systematic troubleshooting guides and verify system functionality before job completion.
- Communicate arrival, departure, and return schedules to customers.
- Address customer complaints with empathy, explain causes, and offer solutions or next steps.
- Prioritize jobs, adhere to call schedules, and manage interruptions effectively.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and obtain customer signatures.
- Inform managers of adverse news, price concerns, or changes affecting the job.
- Adapt instructions for audiences of varying technical levels.
- Instruct customers on emergency handling and proper system use.
- Generate qualified sales leads and alert sales to competitive activities.
- Recommend system upgrades and assist sales in pricing agreements.
- Support special projects assigned by management.
- Report performance issues to supervisor when leading work groups.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, meet ATS environment approvals, and have a ten‑year work history if applicable. Preferred qualifications include commercial HVAC experience, customer service background, and at least one year of lead or supervisory experience.
