The role includes leading the team to achieve strategic goals related to capability, growth, and commercial targets, managing complex multidisciplinary commissions, and ensuring delivery meets quality and commercial standards. It also requires robust risk management, implementation of health, safety and environment requirements, and building strong client and cross‑functional relationships.
In response to strong client demand and a growing infrastructure pipeline, AECOM’s programme management advisory and delivery teams are expanding across all grades. The teams seek experienced individuals capable of independently or jointly with directors shaping, developing, initiating, and delivering client investment and business‑change programmes throughout the full lifecycle.
Ideal candidates have sector expertise in public and private infrastructure projects such as aviation, energy, rail, defence, or water, and a proven record of programme management and PMO leadership. They bring strong leadership, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, consulting experience, and a history of business development and team mentorship.
Required qualifications include a relevant degree, ability to obtain BPSS and/or SC clearance, NEC qualification (or willingness to upskill), and APM/ChPP accreditation or a commitment to achieve it. Proficiency with PMO and project‑control tools such as MS Office, Power BI, Aconex, and Primavera P6 is also expected.
