Mechanical Engineer HVAC - Required Qualifications**

**Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Cushing Terrell will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Were looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong HVAC and plumbing design experience to join our team. In this role, youll integrate document production with detailed systems knowledge while gaining advanced practice in three-dimensional Revit system design. Youll work on projects ranging from small to mid-size and take them from concept through final design with minimal oversight.

***The majority of the time, a person in this role will be sitting in an office with limited physical requirements. This may require individuals to bend, stretch, twist, and reach.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain via comity).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems (VAV, VRF, heat pumps, rooftop units, etc.).
  • Ability to deliver high-quality client service and manage projects with minimal oversight.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with hydronic piping, pump/fan selection, and duct sizing.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing system design and building codes.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC and plumbing design.
  • Familiarity with heating and cooling load calculation software.
  • Bachelors degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering/HVAC or related field.
Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 annually.
