Surveyor

Within our construction teams, the Surveying Department plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate layout, dimensional control, and quality assurance at every stage of the building process.

As a Surveyor, you will be a vital part of the project delivery team—conducting topographic and as-built surveys, setting out key structural components, and ensuring precision on-site. Your work will directly contribute to building the foundations of iconic developments with excellence and accuracy.

Reporting to the Site Surveying Manager or Senior Surveyor, you’ll work alongside experienced construction professionals, engineers, and site teams—providing technical surveying expertise across all stages of the construction lifecycle.

• Check construction dimensions against drawings to ensure alignment with design.
• Set out key structural elements such as foundations, columns, slab edges, and blockwork.
• Manage and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure ongoing accuracy.
• Monitor potential structural displacement or deflection during construction.
• Prepare contour plans, sketches, and written survey reports.
• Support subcontractors and ALEC-related teams with reference point locations.
• Calculate distances, angles, areas, and elevations using survey instruments.
• Perform final as-built surveys post-concrete casting for documentation and handover.
• Conduct topographic and as-built surveys to support construction progress.
• Update drawings in coordination with the surveying draftsman to reflect on-site changes.

Qualifications: Diploma or degree in Surveying or a relevant technical field.
