The position oversees the procurement and logistics of manufacturing materials, covering materials requirements planning, purchasing, inventory control, warehousing, distribution, and transportation. It requires a specialist professional (P4) who serves as a subject‑matter expert in these functions.
The incumbent will manage large projects with minimal supervision, coach junior staff, and lead a team of planners and buyers to satisfy internal and external customer needs while maintaining material quality. Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders across SCM, procurement, operations, and production, applying best‑practice scheduling, developing cost‑effective suppliers, finalizing service contracts, analyzing inventory performance, and managing obsolete stock within set targets.
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and possess 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in project or order management. Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities are essential, along with proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and fluent spoken and written English.
