Maintain accurate and timely quality records and logs. Closes monthly PO’s for finance.
Achieves key performance measures, safety and quality.
Participates as backup to other quality technician positions.
Verification, testing of raw materials to determine usability. Releases (or blocks) raw material.
Audit production lines for compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality system requirements.
Performs all tasks in a safe manner. Complies with all safety rules.
Assists with trial runs including interface with Production, Process Engineering, Product Development and Sales/Marketing.
Responsible for the process of product disposition of 1 st grade, downgraded, by-product and waste products including the rework process of downgraded materials by performing in-process and final product inspections based on control plans and customer specifications.
Documents and implements (release, change, remove or apply) all segcode changes for all areas and groups within the site including converting facilities and warehouse.
Use statistical process control (SPC) tools to monitor trends and ensure process capability.
Document and report nonconformance issues; support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Using computer input database, manipulates data is required for most parameters using MS office software.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality documentation, including segcode system, inspection instructions, quality alerts, and deviation reports.
Participates on Lean Manufacturing/Process Improvement teams.
Makes subjective determinations based on visual appearance of materials.
Support internal and external audits, including customer and ISO/IATF/other quality system audits.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Maintenance, and Engineering, to resolve quality concerns.
Manages and updates the vision system classifiers for each style while working with operations to also make process adjustments to the system.

1–3 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment, preferably in nonwoven or textile manufacturing
Excellent computer skills with high competency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles preferred
Experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 systems data entry into ERP or quality management systems strongly preferred
Knowledge of SAP, APS, WMS, MAPEX preferred
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting
High school diploma or GED; Associate degree or technical training preferred
Knowledge of basic quality tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures
