Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, and International Building Codes (IBC)
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Proficiency with building structure design (steel, concrete, wood, precast, etc.)
Knowledge of local building codes and requirements
Understanding of other disciplines, such as, mechanical, electrical, geotechnical, and surveying
Proficiency with industry standard building design software (RAM Structural Systems, Concept, RAM Elements, etc.)
Must be able to travel to various project sites.
Ability to pursue licensure as P.E. in multiple states required.
Experience creating structural drawings/details in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting programs
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering required; Master’s degree a plus.
