- Develop and prepare documentation such as legal descriptions and right-of-way materials for property and easement conveyance.
- Compute, adjust, and process survey data for mapping and integration into county and state coordinate systems.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews of survey data to maintain accuracy and adherence to county, state, and client standards.
- Lead field survey operations, serving as crew chief when needed, and guiding teams through data collection and project design phases.
- Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to build relationships, resolve challenges, and deliver exceptional service.
- Plan, organize, and manage survey projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Support continuous improvement by contributing to the development of survey policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to survey team members, fostering growth and problem-solving skills.
- Certify legal survey documents by stamping and sealing plats of survey, subdivision maps, right-of-way plats, transportation project plats, certified survey maps, and elevation certificates.
- Research and analyze boundary data and recorded land status information to support field surveys and mapping procedures.

- Associate degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience in field survey operations, data collection, topographic surveys, and field control.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.
- Familiarity with Global Positioning Systems (GPS).
- Experience applying map filing laws to right-of-way and property surveys.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong mathematical skills, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Client-focused mindset with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
- Valid driver’s license, as this position will require frequent travel.
- In-depth knowledge of surveying principles, statutes, regulations, and techniques.
- Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.
