With dozens of employees working across multiple sites, this safety role is essential to maintaining compliance, reducing incidents, and ensuring every team member goes home safe. You’ll be the key point of safety leadership for the field teams.
- Lead orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training.
- Conduct site walks, hazard assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.
- Collaborate with operations, superintendents, and project leadership to identify risks and corrective actions.
- Provide daily safety oversight across job sites supporting 70–88 field employees.
- Supports 70–88 field employees across ongoing construction projects in the Rochester area.
- Support continuous improvement and rollout of new safety initiatives.
- Maintain all safety documentation, reporting, and OSHA compliance.

Our client is urgently seeking a Safety Coordinator/Safety Manager to support a busy construction operation in Rochester, NY. This role will provide hands-on safety leadership across multiple job sites, supporting 70–88 field employees and helping strengthen the company’s safety culture. Candidates can come from any industry, though construction experience is highly preferred.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills.
- OSHA 500 or 510 preferred (not required).
- Safety experience in construction or another industrial/commercial environment (construction preferred).
- Coach and mentor crews — willingness to train and elevate others is essential.
- Ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and coach field teams.
- Valid driver’s license (fuel card + vehicle allowance provided).
