The ReStore Store Manager role is a full‑time, exempt position reporting to the EVP of Operations, overseeing a team of ReStore staff and responsible for the overall operation and performance of Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, a mission‑driven retail environment that supports affordable housing initiatives.
The manager ensures daily store operations run efficiently and safely, handling openings and closings, deposit processing, drawer audits, and maintaining compliance with Habitat’s mission, values and financial goals while providing a welcoming experience for donors, customers, staff and volunteers.
Additional duties include coordinating procurement, pricing, marketing, facility maintenance, vendor reconciliation, and donor receiving services, as well as collaborating with the EVP of Operations on new service requirements and special sales categories.
The position requires at least three years of personnel management experience (team of six or more), retail experience, strong relationship‑building and conflict‑resolution skills, and the ability to manage volunteers; computer proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and forklift certification and building‑materials knowledge are preferred.
Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lb, standing, walking, climbing, bending, and working at heights up to 30 ft, as well as performing manual labor and construction tasks using tools.
