Reviews project plans and projects to ensure quality and cohesion in accordance with company or client standards.
Creates and leads regular end user support meetings and training.
Core focus to provide leadership with technical expertise ensuring consistency of product and process in support of Buildings design delivery.
Provides inhouse technical expertise and support as needed.
Evaluates and recommends design, BIM, and other potentially related technologies.
Successfully manage multiple priorities and lead others in local technology initiatives.
Influences, implements, and supports interdisciplinary standards and process improvements related to digital project delivery.
To provide local leadership, as a part of Stantec’s digital transformation, ensuring that our staff has the necessary technical expertise, and is aligned with Building’s processes to efficiently and successfully win and execute exceptional projects.
Provides direction and assists project teams with project scope, approach, setup, and delivery including the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BXP), model matrices, and other supporting digital scope documentation for each project.
Communicates initiatives to the local offices.
Acts as liaison for technology related subject matter both internally and externally.
Assist leadership and project management, within British Columbia Buildings, in strategic pursuit and project planning ensuring that expectations are clear, scope defined, and project plan complete to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Act as the local subject matter expert for all design modeling and analysis software, technology, and best practices.
Ensure that our local project teams can proactively engage with Clients around their technology needs and how that overlaps with our design services and digital offerings.
Contributes to the ongoing maintenance of the Stantec Buildings digital project delivery environment.
Represents local practice needs via active participation in the regular Digital Practice Coordination meetings.
Serve as the local champion of Buildings Digital Practice helping local project teams develop and implement BIM best practices and process improvements.

Ability to respond to and address occasional offhours project and/or support requirements.
5+ years management experience required.
Expert knowledge of latest Autodesk products: AutoCAD, Revit, Navis Manage, A360, BIM 360, and BIM 360 Field at a minimum.
Expert level knowledge of current modeling, drafting, visualization software required; including but not limited to the Autodesk Buildings suite and associated plugins.
Functional knowledge of other common industry products; Bluebeam, Newforma, Sketchup, and Dynamo at a minimum.
Demonstrated understanding and expertise with all industry business software (Microsoft Office Suite) and project coordination methods also expected.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Expert level Microsoft product user; Office365 Suite including Visio and Project
Strong understanding of design coordination/clash detection process and technology
10+ years’ experience in the AE industry preferred.
Proven track record of successful project delivery; AE design projects
5+ years’ experience with BIM technologies and process required
Thorough understanding of Buildings systems design, layout, and coordination
