Customer Service Rep I

Description

The representative prepares quotes, verifies purchase orders, creates factory orders, and ensures all production information is communicated to engineers and customers. They coordinate trucking, track job information in the SAP/ERP system, and manage roll material cards and sales registers for invoicing.

• Analyze financial data and create models for decision support.
• Prepare quotes, verify purchase orders, and generate factory orders.
• Coordinate production updates and arrange trucking for shipments.
• Assist customers and engineers in selecting roll material or compound.
• Enter and track job information in SAP/ERP and sales register.
• Communicate customer needs to sales, planning, warehouses, and other departments.
• Handle customer complaints, returns, and allowances.
• Provide production status updates to customers.
• Resolve technical service questions within established authority limits.
• Track shipments and obtain proof of delivery.
• Maintain estimated sales and requested dates for inventory management.
• Prepare customs documentation for shipments to Canadian customers.
• Distribute roll data packages after shipment.
• Send customer satisfaction surveys and track responses.
• May provide work direction to others as needed.

Requirements

Education requirements include a High School Diploma, with an associate degree considered beneficial. Candidates should have 3‑5 years of customer service experience in a manufacturing environment, be proficient in English, possess advanced Microsoft Office skills, and have basic accounting knowledge.

• Hold a High School diploma; associate degree is a plus.
• Possess 3–5 years of relevant customer service experience in manufacturing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
• Have basic accounting knowledge and familiarity with word processing and spreadsheets.
• Exhibit strong judgment, organizational, scheduling, and multitasking abilities.
