The role is for a Supervisor with building or health‑care experience on the Princess Alexandra Hospital Expansion project. The Supervisor will coordinate on‑site teams to deliver scopes of work according to project plans, specifications, short‑term programs and schedules. Performance must be achieved within the designated time and budget.
Key duties include developing work methods and short‑term construction programmes, planning daily and weekly production, and reporting progress to the Site or Project Manager. The Supervisor must read and review plans and design documentation, provide constructive feedback and implement final designs. Risk identification and mitigation, stakeholder engagement and fostering a risk‑management culture are also essential. Additionally, the role involves training leading hands, ensuring safety standards, and applying industrial agreements fairly.
Applicants need a trade qualification or equivalent and significant experience in a supervisory or leading‑hand role, preferably with a tier 1/2 builder. They must be skilled in reviewing design documents, interpreting drawings and conducting constructability reviews. Experience in managing the performance of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour is required.
