Applicant should also be able to identify specific industry and technology experience such as Refining/Coker, Petrochemical, Gas Processing, Renewable energy, etc. Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, BS etc. as related to the equipment responsible for.
Applicant should be able to identify specific equipment services they have been responsible for, such as Air Compressors, Steam/Gas Turbines, API Pumps, Cryogenic Pumps, Packaged Equipment (raw water treatment, waste water treatment, sludge handling, chemical injection, N2 generation), etc.
knowledge of field installation / commissioning activities (in addition to design / selection) for rotating/packaged equipment is preferred.
Understanding of the roles played by other departments on projects including basic construction practices.
Understanding of Engineering planning and control methods.
Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status from a recognised engineering council / professional engineering licensing board is preferred.
Pre-FEED and FEED experiences in related types projects.
Able to work with minimal direct supervision of day-to-day tasks (issue datasheets, material requisitions, bid evaluations) to meet project goals for cost and schedule.
In depth knowledge of rotating/packaged equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, water treatment equipment) and electric motors.
Experience participating in model reviews and equipment walkdown at vendor’s shop. Coordinate with other disciplines, vendor and client to resolve comments resulting from model reviews and equipment walkdowns.
Applicant must have BEng. or equivalent degree in mechanical engineering or an allied engineering discipline.
Strong background with API 610 Centrifugal pumps and API 617 Centrifugal Compressors and gas seal systems. Experience with Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and reciprocating compressors is beneficial.
Able to identify technical hurdles and/or design issues proactively, to address them ahead of project critical path.
Experience in executing Middle Eastern projects, brownfield experience and familiarity with Aramco standards and specifications is highly desirable.
At least 10 years of Rotating/Packaged Equipment related experience in Petrochemical, Energy Transition or Oil and Gas industry.
Broad knowledge of the application of Engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.
Skilled in oral and written communication. Able to work in project groups with shared-work teams globally, to progress project designs.
