- Produce concrete surface.
- Monitor material quantities, production rates, and equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, paving logs, and quantity records.
- Picture objects from drawings and diagrams.
- Work performed in confined areas
- Climb ladders, kneel, crawl, or work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Mold expansion joints and edges.
- Direct subgrade work, mixing of concrete and setting of forms.
- Compare and see differences in size, shape and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Oversee setup, pouring, finishing, and curing of concrete pavement
- Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
- Calculate amounts of concrete required for each job.
- Remove rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces and patch holes.
- Break up and repair old concrete surfaces.
- Work extended hours on foot, including on uneven or rough surfaces.
