- Operational Excellence: Oversee the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, managing resources effectively and ensuring timely delivery.
- Using the product delivery (stage-gate) system to lead mechanical product design, prototyping, and release to manufacturing, managing complex schedules, including product test and evaluation programs.
- Product development from concept through production, including new product development, sustaining engineering support, and resolving field problems.

- Able to work from the Decatur, GA facility based on business needs is required.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Proven track record of identifying opportunities and driving business growth through innovative product solutions. Willing to take the right risks to solve novel and complex problems.
- Lighting Industry Knowledge: Understanding of lighting industry technical areas, regulatory standards, and market expectations for lighting products. Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques as they relate to lighting products.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed for the role.
- Flexibility: Demonstrates adaptability in ever-changing circumstances and is willing to reprioritize goals and expectations as projects evolve.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and Microsoft Office programs is required.
- Hands-On: Proficient with tools, techniques, and methods for fabricating and modifying prototype samples, mockups, and installations. Excited to work with physical material in design, development, and communication.
- SolidWorks software proficiency and CAD data management experience are preferred.
- 5+ years of engineering experience in lighting and appliance or from a related manufacturer of electro-mechanical consumer products is required.
- Manufacturing Expertise: Experience in manufacturing operations and design for manufacturing with standard processes for part and assembly fabrication (sheet metal, machining, die casting, extrusion, etc.). Comfort on the factory floor.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology is required.
