Identify, troubleshoot and resolve process issues in lime, limestone, and LCCS manufacturing, handling and shipping processes and decarbonization of the same.
Facilitate cultural and technical change aligned with continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Support equipment selection, layout design, piloting, validation, and commissioning activities.
Conduct heat and mass balances and develop advanced test campaigns and instrument selection.
Research technological advancements in decarbonization, lime, cement, and related industries and identify technological solutions to support Graymont’s decarbonization path to net zero.

Professional Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience is preferred. Backgrounds in the lime, cement, chemical, oil and gas, or other heavy industrial sectors will be considered. Experience in governmental agencies related to decarbonization technologies or engineering is also considered an asset.
Education: Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. and Bachelor’s degrees will also be considered.
Strong understanding of chemical and separation processes, process control systems, and instrumentation.
Proficient in heat and mass balance calculations and advanced Excel use. Experience with process modeling tools (e.g., Aspen suite).
Knowledge of decarbonization processes and flue gas treatment techniques.
Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel regularly throughout the U.S. and Canada (up to 50%).
Interpersonal Skills: You build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
Language Skills: English fluency required; proficiency in French or Spanish considered an asset.
Relevant Experience: Project management and plant commissioning experience preferred.
